“Above is heaven, below is Hangzhou” goes the Chinese saying. Peach trees and willow trees are planted alternately around the lake. The fragrance of peach blossoms and the beauty of their blooms draw many to the lake during this season.
Tea plantations and tea houses are a main attraction in Hangzhou. Yesterday my Chinese class took a tour ending with a tea ceremony.
Last weekend, Myles, Olivia and I visited Taiziwan Park, near West Lake. The tulip gardens give Holland, MI stiff competition.
