What a high! The class has 10 students: seven men and three women, They are mostly software engineers, but some are system testers or members of lab teams. In their twenties and early thirties, the students want to learn English to communicate better with their foreign colleagues and customers. The class flew by because the students are open, eager and funny. I used many of the team building activities I have used at staff retreats and they participated enthusiastically.
The Nokia building is quite modern with security locks on every door. If a door is left open, an alarm goes off. The 25 story building houses 1400 employees. The room was set up in traditional lecture style with tables facing forward in rows. We moved them back and created a circle of chairs.
It was a great time!
